Like a lot of Oregon photographers, and a lot of Oregon residents, I don’t stop at Multnomah falls that often. It’s magnificent, for sure, but it’s also really easy to get to.  No hike required, a concrete viewing platform at the main spot.  

That said, when an out-of-towner says he hasn’t seen it yet, every bit of new excitement comes up  in me and I just have to ask- “Wanna make a little detour?”

I’ve been here dozens of times, but this day the light, the mist and everything was perfect.  I just had to make another image.
